About Me
The First Facilitator of EL and the Critical Left Blog
Welcome to this space dedicated to The Enlightened Lifestyle (EL), a transformative approach that emphasizes mindful living, balance, and continuous personal growth. The EL philosophy promotes a profound connection with oneself and others, encouraging actions that align with core values while fostering resilience and holistic well-being. Integrating insights from both Eastern and Western traditions, EL seeks to cultivate a life guided by wisdom, clarity, and an open heart, fostering both critical thinking and compassionate awareness.
My Journey: From Christianity to Secular Buddhism
My path has been one of profound transformation. Initially rooted in Christianity, a pivotal moment came when I saw The Matrix, sparking a deep interest in Zen that evolved into a dedicated practice of Won Buddhism. Over time, my focus has shifted toward Secular Buddhism, informed by the core teachings from the Pali Canon. This journey through different contemplative perspectives has deepened my appreciation for mindful living and critical inquiry.
At the same time, my exploration of Western Enlightenment concepts led me to Humanism and the meta-scientific studies. I am currently wrote a white paper on advancing the scientific method, inspired by thinkers like Ken Wilber (Integral Theory), Otto Scharmer (Theory U) and other thinkers and philosophers. This exploration continually informs my work as I facilitate the Enlightened Lifestyle community on Discord, where we discuss and apply EL principles.
